Wow, it's been a while....

Loads have happened since I last blogged-we waved a fond farewell to 2005 and welcomed 2006 with open arms and much expectations....

Here are a few highlights of what was going on since Dec 5th....

BARCELONA ( 17/12-20/12)

Before we board....

On arrival, after quite an experience trying to locate our hostel........Night view of Las Ramblas

Las Ramblas during the day

Good old dependable Starbucks for our daily caffeine boost

In the 'Bus Turistica'

The National Art Museum

In 'Poble Espanyol (Spanish Village)

With Sze-Ann in front of one of the monasteries in the Spanish Village

My favorite view of the village

La Bouqueria fresh market. We went crazy in there and literally imported the whole market back to Dublin :P

At the famous 'Sagrada Familia'

Futbol Club Barcelona

The stadium is huge

The rest of the photos of the places we visited are in Esther and Sze's camera. :( Took to many photos the first 2 days, and my memory card ran out of space.

Some of the local spanish food we sampled.....

We called it the 'Spanish Pizza'

My appetizer...Crepe with tuna and grilled sweet pepper..Really yummy and filling

Mixed paella for 3

Our dessert. Chocolate mousse cake, catalunya caramel and greek yogurt with cramelized nuts

Our tapas selection. Hunting down the tapas bar wasn't that difficult but getting our food was an unforgettable experience both for us and the waiter. Hehe....

We were still hungry after our tapas, so we went in search of more food. Squid-ink paella

Casserole paella

We tried the Sangria as well!

Well, that wraps up most of our Spanish experience.

CHRISTMAS + SZE'S BIRTHDAY BASH

Sze's Christmas Tree

While waiting to surprise Sze

We had a small gathering at the IFI Cafe last week. It was a little Christmas dinner for everyone serving in the church teams.

For some reason, Esther seems a bit camera shy that night.....

The rest of the table......

I had the Beef and Guiness Hotpot-have been craving for some comfort food ever since winter set in. So needless to say, I was as happy as larry after the waitress placed my order in front of me.....*big grin*

Was really full after the huge serving of stew but still...there's always room for dessert.....Shared it with Laura-jie...

Chocolate Delice with Vanilla Ice cream.....

Some of the serving teams in Every Nation Dublin...

Presenting The Hosting Team.......check out the smiles....all straight from the heart. :)

...And The Worship Team....These guys are oh-so-wonderful!! Great talents and gifts in music and voices...

Of course, not forgetting the faithful and strong Power Team. The first team to arrive at 8.30am in the morning and the last to leave after service. Their duties include carrying huge and heavy speakers, microphone stands, and other stands, set up the lighting system and sound system in church, all in preparation for our 11am services. Then at the end of it all, they pack up and store everything away into our little storeroom in the IFI. Lots of hardwork, but God has called in many dedicated people into this team of faithful servers. They're wonderful indeed!!

Sweet memories from the Clanbrassil Street Lower Gang......

I should say 'ex-Clanbrassil Street Lower Gang'. Well, Maeve has moved back to Swords where it's more convenient for her as it's nearer to work, and Tamryn has moved to Harold's Cross with 2 other South African girls....
Although we don't spend as much time together as we used to, the bonds of friendship formed between us will remain the same, if not stronger!! I love you girls!!
